It is being reported that USA Network has cancelled Covert Affairs after its fifth season, which concluded last month. The spy drama's falling ratings are said to be the primary reason behind the move, with Season 5 hitting series low ratings and averaging 1.5 million viewers. For comparison, Covert Affair's first season averaged 5 million viewers. Unfortunately, this means fans will never know if Annie chose Ryan's marriage proposal or Joan’s invitation to join her CIA task force. The rising cost of the show, including talent fees and more expensive locations shoots, coupled with the show's declining ratings, played a role in its demise. Season 5 averaged just 445,000 viewers in the coveted adult’s 18-49 demos. That's even less than the already canceled Rush (509,000). When time-shifted viewing was taken into account, the show averaged 3.3 million total viewers, but those numbers ultimately weren't enough to save it.

It is being reported that FOX has cancelled Gracepoint after its first season. The mystery drama, which is a remake of the U.K.'sBroadchurch, failed to find an audience on U.S. shores over the course of its 10-episode run.

The production on NBC’s Constantine has been stopped after only thirteen episodes, but it is possible that the show could get a second season. The show stars Matt Ryan who is a demon hunter and master of the occult that struggles with his faith, a man that is haunted by his own past.

It has been reported that CBS has cancelled The Millers just four episodes into its second season. The sophomore comedy has struggled in the ratings so far this fall after moving to a new time slot on Monday nights.

Word is that production has already been halted, with this coming Monday's episode possibly being its last.

It is being reported that TNT has cancelled Perception after three seasons. The Eric McCormack procedural is the second show the network has axed this week.

Though ratings were slightly down in Season 3 compared to Season 2, reasons for Perception's cancellation are unclear. The move could be in part related to TNT's recently-stated desire to transition to edgier programming under new president Kevin Reilly.

The first cancellation came after Season 1 in 2012 but the network ended up reversing its decision shortly after and brought it back as a summer series in 2013 where it fared better. Season 3 aired in the summer once again this year but ratings dipped, likely factoring into the decision not to continue with a fourth season.

MTV has renewed Awkward for Season 5 in what will be the show's final run to conclude the series. The comedy premiered in 2011 and has amassed a loyal fanbase over the years, even picking up a People's Choice Award for favorite cable comedy along the way.

Awkward is current airing new fourth-season episodes on Tuesday nights. There is no word yet on a return time frame or the number of episodes on order for Season 5.

Showtime announced that the upcoming seventh season of Nurse Jackie will be its last. On the air since 2009, the award-winning dramedy will leave as one of the network's highest-rated comedies, having averaged 3.4 million weekly viewers across platforms in Season 6.

It is expected that the premiere will air late this year on Showcase in Canada, with the second half of the season airing in the fall of 2015. A time frame for the show's return to Syfy for U.S. audiences is not known at this time.

Glee will start its last season off with a bang, a two hour episode to air on January 9, 2015. The show will move to a new time slot on Friday for its final season, with its final episode to be aired on March 20^th.

Canadian broadcaster Global Television, which aired season one in its entirety earlier this year, announced that the show has been cancelled up north as well, citing low ratings as the primary reason.

The mental illness drama aired 13 episodes between April and July but struggled to draw significant viewership over the course of its run. Its premiere episode garnered a healthy 1.5 in the adults 18-49 demographic, but numbers fell to less than half that by the time its finale aired.

TBS has cancelled Men at Work after three seasons. The comedy premiered in 2012 and aired 10 episodes each season for a total of 30. The show's finale aired this past March.

NBC has cancelled Dracula, axing the new drama after one season. The show aired for a short 10-episode run during 2013-2014, but drew lackluster ratings over the course of the season.

Dracula joins Believe and Crisis as other recently-cancelled NBC freshman dramas.

CBS has cancelled Hostages after one season. The freshman suspense drama ran for 15 episodes during 2013-2014 but failed to draw significant viewership during its run.
