  6. Spoilers! Don't make us take out our knives. Let's just fastforward to the most crucial scene, shall we? Jordan Chase (Jonny Lee Miller) has taken Lumen (Julia Stiles) to the River Jordan Camp for Boys and Girls, and Dexter (Michael C. Hall) finds them, thanks to the Office of County Records, which had listed Eugene Greer for that property. Just when it looks like Jordan has the upper hand -- Lumen is strung up, Dexter is captured after flipping his car -- Dex surprises their captor with a hidden knife. Jordan is speedily strapped to a table (or is it a gurney)? After one of the most twisted conversations ever, in which Jordan keeps trying to make Lumen thank him for "tr…

  8. Referencing the network's hit zombie drama The Walking Dead in his comments, Ergen noted that most of their customers "live on farms and ranches" and apparently wouldn't want to watch AMC programming because of their rural location. The other metric the esteemed chairman used to determine viewer interest was his family, as Ergen couldn't recall anyone in his family ever watching "one second" of the other channels that were to be bundled with AMC, including IFC, WEtv, and Sundance. Regarding AMC's other critically-acclaimed series such as Mad Men and Breaking Bad, Ergen claimed that they weren't widely viewed by Dish's audience and that customers could go to iTunes and …

  9. On Sunday's (Dec. 5) episode "Hop a Freighter," Miami Metro isn't just looking for the rape club that targeted the Barrel Girls but also who might be taking out each of the guys -- well, Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) is anyway. Masuka (C.S. Lee) has found new evidence though, and Dexter (Michael C. Hall) isn't too thrilled that the police are trying endangering his prey (that's his job). Hmm, wonder how Laguerta (Lauren Velez) feels about Deb's little vigilante theory. Meanwhile, Dexter and Lumen (Julia Stiles) are all post-coital relationship-y feeling now. So of course they're cosy on the floor, doing what couples do best -- plot the capture of Jordan Chase (Jonny Lee Mille…

  10. The American version of "Torchwood" is staffing up quickly after the proposed series bounced back and forth between networks, landing at Starz. Earlier this week, we reported that Mekhi Phifer enlisted to join Captain Jack and now the team has found their villain. According toDeadline, film star Bill Pullman has signed on as a series regular. The star of popular nineties films ("Independence Day," "While You Were Sleeping") returns to the small screen as Oswald Jones, a convicted criminal who gets off on a technicality and becomes a media success. In typical "Torchwood" fashion, clever Orson gets involved in a plot that could cause international havoc and the team wi…

Linda Hamilton will reprise her role as Chuck's (Zachary Levi) mom, Mary, in the two-hour series finale. And that, alas, is about all we can tell you at the moment. "If I said anything" about the circumstances of Hamilton's return, "I'd be ruining too many good spoilers," co-creator Chris Fedak tells TV Guide. "Chuck" is in its final week of filming, and the cast and crew have already shot the last scene of the finale (though not the last scene ever, since they're going out of order). "There were a lot of tears," Fedak says. "... We have been cherishing each day as we've neared the end." Fortunately for the rest of us, that end won't come for a while. "Chuck" …

  12. 15. And he's proud of all three descriptors in equal measure. Before social media and Twitter made every celebrity slipup or moment of weakness liable to be a viral sensation, a photo following Nolte's 2002 DUI arrest made the rounds on the web, with seemingly the entire world seeing and laughing at his shocked, matted hair, angry scowl and fantastic Hawaiian shirt. In a new feature interview with GQ, Nolte explains it all -- and has no desire to run away from what to many would be a total embarrassment. Nolte himself has never spoken about the infamous photo -- until now. In the latest issue of GQ magazine, Nolte reveals that the pic wasn't his mug shot at all, it was just a…

In the upcoming episode "Caged Heat," Sam, Dean, and Castiel (Misha Collins) team up with Meg (Rachel Miner) to try to get Sam's soul back from Crowley. Spoiler alert: it doesn't work. Dean doesn't want to give up, though -- and he's about to make a deal with someone much more powerful, and more dangerous, than Meg. In "Appointment in Samarra," Dean goes looking for one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse: Death himself, who met Dean at a pizza joint last season to help him conquer Lucifer. Death (returning guest star Julian Richings) offers to help, but he's looking for a day off. He tells Dean that he'll help ret…

  20. Huang Yong was a Chinese serial killer accused of murdering 17 teenage boys, although he is suspected of 25 murders, between September 2001 and 2003.In 2003, Huang Yong confessed to murdering 25 young men and boys. His motive: He wanted to know what it felt like to be an assassin. He specifically targeted young males, because older men were too vigilant and killing females would make him less of a “hero.” He began killing in September 2001 by luring boys from video halls and Internet cafes to his house under the guise of getting them jobs or funding their education. He would tie them to a noodle processing machine he called the “intelligent hobbyhorse” before suffocating …

  21. In the upcoming episode "Caged Heat," Meg is back to her old tricks. She's still being portrayed by returning guest star Rachel Miner - though in the past she's appeared as Nicki Aycox and even Jared Padalecki when she possessed Sam in Season 2. For once, Sam's lack of a soul is coming in handy. Meg kidnaps the Winchesters, but while Dean (Jensen Ackles) panics, Sam remains calm enough to see through Meg's act. He even finds the whole thing funny. "She can't do jack squat. She's totally screwed. Look at her, Dean. She's furious. If she could kill you, she'd have done it by now. She's running." Sam deduces that Meg is on the run from the newest King of Hell, their good fr…

  24. NBC released its mid-season schedule today and it's not good news for The Brave. The freshman military drama is nowhere to be found in the line-up, meaning the network did not order any additional episodes for the show's first season. The hour-long series premiered in September and through eight episodes has been a decent performer in the 10:00pm time slot on Monday nights, though it regularly gets beaten by a substantial margin by The Good Doctor, which brings in roughly double the viewers, both overall and in the key adults 18-49 demographic. The Brave takes place in the world of America's elite undercover military operations. In D.C., a team of analysts utili…

  25. Velma Bullard, later Velma Barfield, was born on October 29th, 1932 to a poor family in South Carolina. Her life of crime began early, when, after starting to attend school at age seven, she noted the financial differences between her and her classmates. She began stealing pocket money from her father to afford small luxuries while gone at school, and soon after, progressed to stealing $80 dollars from an old neighbor. Her father found out and beat her, and that was the last time during her childhood that theft was recorded. Despite his criticisms of her and her own criticisms of the way her family worked, Velma loved her father. He bought her nice things sometimes, ri…
