Known as El Mataviejas" (The Old Lady Killer), Jose Antonio Rodriguez Vega is Spain's most prolific killer. As the name suggests, this heartless brute preyed on elderly women, raping and strangling 16 victims over a period of just nine months. Vega’s usual M.O. was to befriend his victims by offering to help carry groceries or do work at their homes. Once inside, he’d turn on the helpless woman, fondle and rape her and then strangle her to death. Sometimes he’d commit postmortem rape with a broomstick handle or other object. Then, before leaving the scene, he’d tuck the victim up in bed. Because of this many of the early victims were thought to have died of natural causes…

It looks like DC Universe has already made its first cancellation. Reports are out that the new video-on-demand service will not be bringing back Swamp Thing for a second season. The news comes just one episode into the drama's freshman run. This revelation won't likely surprise those following the show, as it has already dealt with its share of behind-the-scenes drama. Back in April, word began circling that production was being abruptly shut down after just 10 of its planned 13 episodes. Co-star Virginia Madsen seemed to confirm the rumor in a since-deleted Instagram post that read, "I'm beyond sad. What a terrible decision. We have been cut to the core by those wh…

The two-minute teaser starts off (how else?) super creepy with Peter (Joshua Jackson) being woken up by a strange phone call. "I know this is going to sound crazy, but I just saw a woman disappear in front of my eyes. Her name was Olivia. She has a message for you. She's trapped in the other universe." Cue Peter rolling over to look at Fauxlivia (Anna Torv). We told you. Super creepy. We also see the real Olivia (Anna Torv, part two!) stuck in the parallel world trying her best to explain the situation after "Walternate" (John Noble) found out she now knows who she is: "My universe is not at war with yours. This all began because a man came over here to save a boy and 25 …

On May 15, 1998, Donato Bilancia, confessed to a string of slayings in the Italian Riviera, saying he was mentally ill, suddenly flipped and could not explain his 90-day long serial killing spree. He spent seven hours through the night smoking and confessing to the magistrate in charge of his case to the tune of 18 murders, 15 of them since October. "He expressly asked for treatment because he is not able to realise what he has done. He cannot explain to himself what happened: something suddenly went off in him," the lawyer said. The confessed killer, who was arrested May 6, added that he had acted alone and on his own initiative. Prosecutors in Genoa said they now have e…

Fox has announced that Fringe has been renewed for next season, which will see the series conclude with 13 final episodes. Amidst falling ratings and time slot changes over the years, Fringe has persevered, bolstered by its legion of loyal fans. The final, shortened season of Fringe is a smart way for the network to provide those fans a satisfying end to the series, rather than have the show pulled abruptly from the schedule mid-storyline. Season 4 of Fringe is currently winding down, with three episodes remaining until the finale on Friday, May 11, 2012. The fifth season is scheduled for the 2012-2013 season, but no premiere date has been announced. Click here to vie…

Paul John Knowles, a.k.a. "Lester Daryl Gates" aka "Daryl Golden" was an American spree killer, also known as The Casanova Killer, tied to the deaths of 18 people in 1974, though he claimed to have taken 35 lives. Born in Orlando, Florida, his father gave him up to live in foster homes and reformatories after he was convicted of a petty crime. Knowles himself was first incarcerated at the age of 19, and in the years following he spent more time in prison. In 1974, he was granted parole and sought to marry Mrs. Angela Covic, with whom he had corresponded from prison. Allegedly because of something a psychic told her, she ended the relationship. After this rejection, Knowle…

But just like Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln)and the rest of the un-merry band of survivors, life must go on. Another episode, the finale even, awaits. In this exclusive Zap2it clip, we pick up where Episode 5 left off with the doors to the CDC (Centers of Disease Control and Prevention) rising, bathing the wary survivors in a bright light. As they enter, they meet the lone scientist (Noah Emmerich) we saw in the previous episode who had accidentally contaminated the last "fresh" sample of zombie flesh -- labeled TS-19 -- he had for testing. Uh oh. Who do you think will come down with the Walker syndrome next and donate their body to science? Let's go back and find Jim. An…

Gareth explains to Bob that Terminus wasn’t originally intended to be a cannibal butcher shop, but it ended up that way, not a trap. “You join us or you feed us”, that’s not much of a choice. The conversation was all one sided from Gareth until he mentioned eating Sasha and that’s when Bob springs the truth on them. He pulls his shirt collar back and starts screaming, “Tainted meat, I’m tainted meat”. This stuns the cannibals, that can’t believe that they have been eating someone that is infected. They start gagging, spitting, and one even vomits. Then the accusations fly, they might as well have been eating a walker, way to go Bob. Three people are missing and Sasha wan…

Bill Cosby’s wife just broke her silence and fiercely defended her husband over various sexual assault allegations, saying, "He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man, and a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is the man you thought you knew." Camilledidn't attack her husband's accusers, but said the media has been way to quick to pass judgment, saying, "A different man has been portrayed in the media over the last two months. It is the portrait of a man I do not know." She then zeros in on the accusers saying, "It is also the portrait painted by individuals and organizations whom many in the media have given a pass." Camille warns, "We all followed the story of…

"I'm working for Crowley, aren't I?" Sam argues. But we can't blame Dean for being skeptical. Maybe it's just Sam's cold expression, but it's hard for us to believe him. After all he's been through in his life -- a rough childhood, a dead girlfriend, and the whole Lucifer's vessel thing -- maybe having no feelings at all is a bit of a relief. He's felt plenty already. The standard Winchester whiskey heart-to-heart (or, in this case heart-to-cold-shell-of-a-heart) is interrupted when Sam suddenly vanishes into thin air. You'd think Dean would be used to this with Castiel, but he draws his gun anyway, and finds Sam passed out on the floor in another room. Ruh-roh. What are …

Peggy Entwistle was a was a Welsh-born English stage and screen actress, who once appeared on stage opposite Humphrey Bogart, entered Hollywood mythology by hurling herself off the Hollywood sign in 1932. Her part in RKO’s “The 13 Women” ended up on the cutting room floor; some say she lept from the 13th letter of the sign, then called Hollywoodland and lit by electric bulbs. Actually, she climbed up 50 feet of an electrician’s ladder behind the H, losing one of her shoes in the process. When she reached the top, she jumped, plunging to her death. Her suicide note read: “I am afraid I am a coward. I am sorry for everything. If I had done this a long time ago, it would hav…
