Backstrom is an American crime comedy-drama television series about a Portland Police Bureau's Elite Special Crimes Unit is led by Det. Lt. Everett Backstrom, an alcoholic and smoker who is in failing health, but takes on cases in special circumstances. The freshman crime drama started out well as a mid season replacement, but lost ratings as the weeks went on, ending at a series low. The network has cancelled the series.
