NBC has renewed About a Boy for a second season. The freshman comedy has been enjoying a successful run since premiering in February after the Olympics. Adapted from the book and movie of the same name, About a Boy has been one of the network's best-rated comedies this season, airing along side other newbie Growing Up Fisher in the 9:00pm hour following The Voice.

HBO announced last week that Silicon Valley has been renewed for a second season. The freshman comedy, created by Mike Judge, premiered earlier this month with an 8-episode first season. ABC has renewed Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a second season. The freshman series will be airing its current season finale next Tuesday, capping a debut run that averaged decent, if unspectacular, ratings. Set in the same universe as popular Marvel franchises, the action drama has been able to tie in some of its storylines to major motion picture releases such as the recent Captain America sequel. Look for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to return in the fall.

It was confirmed today that Two and a Half Men will be ending its run after its upcoming twelfth season. CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler made the announcement at the network's press presentation to discuss their fall schedule. Show creator Chuck Lorre is said to be creating a "season-long event" to conclude the series, which will be ending in 2015 after over 250 episodes.

Fox has announced that Raising Hope has been renewed for a third season. The offbeat comedy has gained a loyal following over its first two seasons, leading to solid overall ratings in the coveted 18-49 demographic.
