It's the grand finale of The Great British Sewing Bee as thethree finalists compete for the title of Britain's best amateursewer, making the most glamourous and extravagant ofgarments.Patrick Grant and Esme Young kick things off bychallenging the sewers to make a Victoriana-style eveningdress. These dresses require delicate fabrics to create theglamorous effect, but they are tricky to handle, especiallywhen the pattern demands a fitted bodice, puff sleeves andfrilled cuffs.Next, it's the sewers' final chance to show offtheir instinct for design in the Transformation Challenge, asthey attempt to turn female party wear into a glamorous men'sred-carpet outfit, inspired by figures such as Billy Porter,Timothee Chalamet and Harry Styles.Finally, they fit a MetGala-worthy 'two-in-one' dress for their models, who this weekare a friend or family member. Creating a dress whichtransforms from one dress into another whilst on the catwalkwill take a feat of engineering and leap of imagination.Thepast sewers return for a reunion, while the judges will maketheir decision then crown this year's best amateur sewer.
