PCs Jamie Leslie and Jan Simlesa are teamed up in NorthTyneside when they spot a shifty driver in a car worse forwear. As the vehicle turns into a cul-de-sac they hit the bluesand twos but the driver has no plans to come quietly. Caught ina dead end, he rams the police car, sparking a high speedpursuit. The driver finally sees sense and stops, but he'sshort tempered and, even worse, stinks of booze. When aroadside breath test is suggested, he makes his true feelingsknown.In Sunderland, PC Mary-Ann Hutchison's cop car appearsto spook an Audi driver into a last-minute turn and anear miss.Thinking he has something to hide, Mary-Anne gets on his tail.He looks to have got away, until another motorway cop car getsbehind the suspect in the city centre. Seeing the net closingin, the driver ditches the car and runs into a building site.But there's nowhere to hide with the police chopper on thecase. When the cops on the ground catch up, the man remindsMary-Anne they went to the same school!Later, Jan and Jamieare called to support their sergeant in solving a roadsidemystery. A driver is on trade plates, claiming to be on a testdrive. The only problem is, it's the middle of the night andthe test drive has been up and down the country! Matters aren'thelped, when Jamie tries to get to the truth and the driverchanges his story not once or twice, but three times. WillJamie manage to work out what's fact and what's fiction?
