In the season premiere, cameras will follow the couple as theygrapple with Mike's decision to leave his corporate job andcommit full-time to their growing home renovation and designbusiness. While they consider, Mike and Denese will tourtheir next project, a 1970s "Frankenhouse" with wastedspaces, mismatched kitchen cabinets and a dangerous spiralstaircase. The duo's design vision will maximize the main levelfloorplan, creating a dream kitchen with a unique island anddining table combo and a kids' drop zone with tons of storage.In addition, Mike and Denese's dads, master carpenters JohnButler and Peter Doyle, will offer their expertiseand build one-of-a-kind pieces for the renovations, such asa barn door, built-in cabinetry and repurposed furniture.
