[imgleft] [/imgleft]Conan O'Brien is done! (Or not.) Jay Leno's definitely going back to "The Tonight Show"! (Not yet, at least.) That's about the size of Thursday's (Jan. 14) news in the NBC late-night saga. There were reports and counter-reports and denials, and it all ended up in about the same place we were the day before. To sum up: TMZ reported Thursday afternoon -- not long after NBC released its post-Olympics, Jay Leno-free prime-time schedule -- that NBC and Leno had struck a deal with NBC to return as host of "The Tonight Show." NBC quickly denied it. Soon after that, People said that O'Brien's last day as "Tonight Show" host would be Jan. 22 (echoing …

Because it airs on Starz, a premium cable network, viewership for Boss was never going to be high. But the series managed to attract around half a million viewers (if that) throughout its first season. Compared to the 1.2 million viewers that Spartacus: Vengeance, another Starz series, averaged, Boss's viewership is paltry. Creator Farhad Safinia knows this fact, he informed reporters at the show's TCA panel on Thursday. "I am completely aware of what the numbers are and I'm heartbroken," he said. "There are so many great things about the show that I feel it deserves a larger audience." The series was renewed for a second season before the show even premiered, so fans o…

[imgleft] [/imgleft]Having "30 Rock's" Kenneth the Page (Jack McBrayer) give a tour of the soon-to-be-vacated "Tonight Show" set, it's not surprising that Conan O'Brien has "jokingly" put the show itself for sale on Craigslist. But it's still funny. Posted Wednesday (Jan. 13) afternoon under the "collectibles" category, the listing begins: "4 SALE: BARELY-USED LATE NIGHT TALK SHOW - MAKE ME AN OFFER!!! (Universal Studios)." Accompanied by a couple of sad photos of the empty set, the rest of the specs are pretty straightforward: This is a chance of a lifetime to own your very own late night talk show--guaranteed to last for up to seven months!! Really must…

It was a long-anticipated episode that proved to be one of the best of the season, and left many fans wondering about how long it would take for Gaiman to come back to the show with another episode. The answer is, apparently, sooner than you'd think. According to some new spoilers released from DoctorWhoTV, Gaiman will be penning an episode of the season's second half. And while "The Doctor's Wife" was a quirky one-off story featuring an all-new villain, it appears Gaiman's next entry will feature one of the show's most famous monsters: the Cybermen. According to DoctorWhoTV, Gaiman's installment will "totally reimagine" the Cybermen, the great metallic monsters who la…

After confessing that at night he only watches "Oprah," Jimmy Kimmel finds any way he can to take a jab at Jay Leno and the NBC late night mess. The X-Files is an American science fiction horror drama television series created by Chris Carter. The program originally aired from September 10, 1993 to May 19, 2002 on Fox, spanning nine seasons and 202 episodes. The series began as an oddity in 1993 but became a phenomenon, running until 2002 and proving that the audience was out there for smart science fiction, horror and other genre fare. (There were movies in 1998 and 2008.) “The X-Files” became, for a time, Fox’s highest rated show, topping out as the 11th most watched series on television in its 1997-98 season. [imgleft] [/imgleft] There are no huge mysteries at the core of "Human Target," no deep back story that's going to require a whole lot of pondering and unpacking after every episode. And that's more than all right. What "Human Target" does have a whole lot of is fun. It's a somewhat old-fashioned and pretty kick-ass hour of TV, with great action sequences in the first two episodes and, probably more important, well-turned performances by its three regulars: Mark Valley, Chi McBride and Jackie Earle Haley. The show is based on the DC/Vertigo comic of the same name and stars Valley as Christopher Chance, a hyper-competent private security expert who's called in to pro…

Referencing the network's hit zombie drama The Walking Dead in his comments, Ergen noted that most of their customers "live on farms and ranches" and apparently wouldn't want to watch AMC programming because of their rural location. The other metric the esteemed chairman used to determine viewer interest was his family, as Ergen couldn't recall anyone in his family ever watching "one second" of the other channels that were to be bundled with AMC, including IFC, WEtv, and Sundance. Regarding AMC's other critically-acclaimed series such as Mad Men and Breaking Bad, Ergen claimed that they weren't widely viewed by Dish's audience and that customers could go to iTunes and …
