Netflix confirmed today that the upcoming sixth and final season of House of Cards will be going ahead without any involvement from Kevin Spacey. The already-ordered season appeared to be in jeopardy after its star had allegations of sexual misconduct levied against him, resulting in a suspension of production in late October. With Spacey now removed from the veteran political drama, the final eight-episode season will proceed with Robin Wright in the lead - but it may be some time before its release. Canadian network Space has renewed freshman series Bitten for a second season in 2015. The supernatural drama, which airs on Syfy in the States, has been picked up for 10 more episodes that will begin filming this summer. The series is popular up north and has become Space's #1 original series of all time. US fans will surely be pleased with the news, as the show's return to Syfy appears likely - though no official statement has been made as of yet regarding a stateside pickup. It is being reported that History has cancelled Six after two seasons. The Navy SEAL drama is currently in the midst of its sophomore run, with four episodes remaining until its now-series finale in early August. The show premiered early last year and had a solid debut outing, airing eight episodes that delivered strong ratings for the cable network. Season 2, however, has not fared as well. CBS announced today that long-running comedy Two and a Half Men has been renewed for a tenth season. After extended negotiations with Ashton Kutcher, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones, all three will be returning in 2012-2013. The show will be airing its ninth season finale this Monday, capping its first full season after dealing with the controversial departure of Charlie Sheen in early 2011. The incident caused Season 8 to be abruptly cut short and called into question the future of the series. This season's Christmas episode, "Abed's Unstoppable Christmas," which debuts on Dec. 9 at 8 p.m., looks like it might be the most ambitious homage yet, as most of the episode will be done in the stop-motion animated style of Rankin-Bass holiday classics like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." ABC has pulled sophomore comedy Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23from its schedule, effectively canceling the series. The show has eight un-aired episodes that have already been filmed, but there is no word on when - or if - the network will air them. NBC has reportedly given Grimm a second season renewal. That is good news for fans of the freshman fantasy drama, given as how other new dramas on the network have not fared as well this season. Shows like The Playboy Club and Prime Suspect have already fallen by the wayside. The new Big Bang Theory spin-off debuted Monday with a "preview" episode that netted an impressive 3.8 rating in the adults 18-49 demo with a total of 17.2 million viewers.
