Netflix confirmed today that the upcoming sixth and final season of House of Cards will be going ahead without any involvement from Kevin Spacey. The already-ordered season appeared to be in jeopardy after its star had allegations of sexual misconduct levied against him, resulting in a suspension of production in late October. With Spacey now removed from the veteran political drama, the final eight-episode season will proceed with Robin Wright in the lead - but it may be some time before its release. Production is not set to begin until sometime in 2018, which could mean a premiere either late in the year or even in 2019. Premiering in 2013, House of Cards was …

The supernatural drama, which airs on Syfy in the States, has been picked up for 10 more episodes that will begin filming this summer. The series is popular up north and has become Space's #1 original series of all time. Dexter is closing in on everybody. In Sunday's (Nov. 28) episode "In the Beginning," everyone is getting closer to either the truth, capturing their prey or showing their hand. Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) and Quinn (Desmond Harrington) confront Jordan Chase (Jonny Lee Miller) about his missing head of security and his apparent lack of concern. It's fun to watch Deb because she's not one to hide her feelings, and Jordan definitely is feeling defensive. Don't poke the bear, Deb! Who knows who he'll take his anger out on next. At least she's not his "type." Speaking of "type," Lumen (Julia Stiles) has noticed that Emily Birch -- she of the blood necklace -- looks similar to he…

Spoilers ahoy for those who haven't watched yet. The last episode of 2010 brought back the season's original bad guy, introduced an even badder guy in Wo Fat and -- most important -- started to mine some of the back story for both McGarrett and Chin Ho. "Five-0" isn't suddenly going to turn into "Lost," but after 10 post-pilot episodes of crime-investigation-local color-banter-case closed, some hint of an ongoing story line is very much welcome. The episode, "Hana 'a'a Makehewa," re-introduced Victor Hesse (James Marsters), who somehow survived being shot by McGarrett and falling into the water at the end of the pilot. He manages to cold-cock Chin Ho and place an explosiv…

It is being reported that History has cancelled Six after two seasons. The Navy SEAL drama is currently in the midst of its sophomore run, with four episodes remaining until its now-series finale in early August. The show premiered early last year and had a solid debut outing, airing eight episodes that delivered strong ratings for the cable network. Season 2, however, has not fared as well. Viewership through its first six episodes if off by nearly half compared to Season 1, making it difficult to warrant a third season pickup. Inspired by true events, Six takes place in the high stakes world of the elite Navy Special Operations unit known as SEAL Team Six. Its…

CBS announced today that long-running comedy Two and a Half Men has been renewed for a tenth season. After extended negotiations with Ashton Kutcher, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones, all three will be returning in 2012-2013. The show will be airing its ninth season finale this Monday, capping its first full season after dealing with the controversial departure of Charlie Sheen in early 2011. The incident caused Season 8 to be abruptly cut short and called into question the future of the series. Ashton Kutcher was brought on to replace Sheen, and ratings-wise, the show continues to be one of the network's highest ranked comedies. Two and a Half Men joins four other com…

This season's Christmas episode, "Abed's Unstoppable Christmas," which debuts on Dec. 9 at 8 p.m., looks like it might be the most ambitious homage yet, as most of the episode will be done in the stop-motion animated style of Rankin-Bass holiday classics like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." Ever since I heard about the idea, I've been looking forward to seeing how Abed, Troy, Annie, Jeff and company look like in the style, and now I know - and I am pleased. After the jump, here's an early look at how the group will look on Dec. 9: Source : http://www.hitfix.com/b....episode/ View full article

At this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con panel for The Man in the High Castle, it was announced that the streaming drama will be returning for a fourth season. The good news was also accompanied by the long-awaited premiere date for Season 3, which is now confirmed to hit Amazon Video on October 5. The Man in the High Castle is an original production of the streaming service and has become one of its more popular and critically-acclaimed offerings. Loosely-based on the 1962 Philip K. Dick novel of the same name, the dystopian drama takes place in an alternate history where the United States has lost World War II and is now partitioned into three zones: a Japanese-occupi…

NBC has reportedly given Grimm a second season renewal. That is good news for fans of the freshman fantasy drama, given as how other new dramas on the network have not fared as well this season. Shows like The Playboy Club and Prime Suspect have already fallen by the wayside. Grimm, however, has been pulling in solid enough ratings on Friday nights for NBC to give it a shot at another season. Its numbers have also remained rather steady over the course of its run rather than suffering from the ratings decline that many shows see as the season wears on. Grimm's average is hovering around a 1.6 in the adults 18-49 demographic, which isn't bad for a Friday night series. …

TNT has announced that sophomore drama Franklin & Bash has been renewed for a third season. The series stars Breckin Meyer and Mark-Paul Gosselaar as two street-smart lawyers and longtime friends who are recruited into a legendary, but uptight, law firm. “Franklin & Bash, with its winning cast and some of the sharpest dialogue on television, is a refreshingly clever, light-hearted take on the courtroom drama,” said network executive VP Michael Wright in a press release. “We look forward to spending another season with Breckin, Mark-Paul and the rest of the terrific cast and crew of Franklin & Bash.” The number of episodes ordered is not known, nor is the…

Though the freshman comedy has not been officially canceled, the network’s decision to not order additional episodes is concerning — this could mean Wilde might be running off the air sometime soon. The show had been suffering in the ratings: Two weeks ago, the series attracted just 2.9 million viewers. (That number, however, came with some silver lining: It was an 18 percent increase from the week prior.) Fox also decided to bench the series for November sweeps. It was announced today that ABC will be shifting second-year series Quantico into a new time slot when it returns from hiatus in January. The sophomore FBI drama will take over Monday nights at 10:00pm, filling the hour currently occupied by the new Hayley Atwell drama Conviction, which did not receive an order for any additional episodes past its original 13. The network is likely hoping to improve Quantico's fortunes with the move, which will see it following hit reality series The Bachelor - a reliable performer that pulls in much stronger numbers than its current Sunday night lead-in Secrets & Lies. Quantico's ratings have been tapering off after an impressiv…

Just two days after a strong first showing, CBS has handed out a full-season order to Young Sheldon. The new Big Bang Theory spin-off debuted Monday with a "preview" episode that netted an impressive 3.8 rating in the adults 18-49 demo with a total of 17.2 million viewers. The show also fared well in retaining 98% of its lead-in audience from the season premiere of The Big Bang Theory. The comedy follows a 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper growing up in East Texas. At a young age, his advanced mathematical and scientific mind isn't necessarily helpful when living in a town where football and church get all the attention. Vulnerable, gifted and naive, Sheldon is embarking on …

ABC announced today that five additional episodes have been ordered for the first season of The Good Doctor. The top-up brings the medical drama's episode count to 18 and makes it the first new drama of the fall to earn a full-season pickup - though it does fall short of the traditional 22 episodes that constitute a full season. The Monday night series is two episodes into its run and off to a strong start. After its premiere garnered a 2.2 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic, it impressively duplicated that number in week two - a feat not often accomplished. The Good Doctor follows Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome who leaves …
