The Killing is being brought back from the dead - again. For the second time, the show is being "un-cancelled", but not by original network AMC. This latest resurrection come by way of Netflix, who worked out a deal for one final season of the crime drama that will consist of a shortened six episode run. Stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman will return for The Killing's final bow, which is set to begin production early next year. CBS announced yesterday that Mike & Molly has been renewed for a fifth season in 2014-2015. Yesterday's announcement included the renewals of 18 primetime shows for next season. Williamson is working on a project that could be a "companion series" to "TVD," The CW's most-watched show. Deadline describes the new show as "'The X-Files' meets 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'" and says it revolves around people who track unexplained phenomena. In a recent press release, Fox announced that new series Rake will be moving to Friday nights. The time slot shift begins on March 14, which will be the show's eighth episode since its premiere in late January. The freshman drama has gotten off to a slow start on Thursdays, where it most recently dropped to a 0.8 rating among Adults 18-49, which is markedly down from its premiere rating of 1.7. Starz has announced that Spartacus will be ending after its upcoming third season. The historical drama, which is the highest rated show on the network, aired its second season finale back on March 30, 2012. Plans to end the popular show were partially influenced by the loss of actor Andy Whitfield, who played the original Spartacus.
