The CW announced today that Legacies has been picked up for a second season. The rookie drama, which acts as a follow-up to The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, premiered last fall and is currently eight episodes into its run. Ratings thus far have been modest, though reviews have been generally favorable. Especially Daryl, he was with Beth when she got taken by them and he was with Carol when she got taken by them and he is very unhappy about it. It is being reported that USA Network has cancelled Covert Affairs after its fifth season, which concluded last month. The spy drama's falling ratings are said to be the primary reason behind the move, with Season 5 hitting series low ratings and averaging 1.5 million viewers. Famous for its torrid love triangles, gruesome violence, and tawdry sex scenes, True Blood isn't your typical vampire show. Currently five episodes into its sixth run, True Blood has been biting necks and cashing checks since 2008, and shows no signs of stopping any time soon. True Blood will return for a seventh season of ten episodes in summer 2014. While True Blood has seen a drop-off in critical praise the last few years, fan support seems to be nearly as strong as it's ever been. It is being reported that Fox has cancelled Proven Innocent after one season. The news comes one day after the legal drama aired its freshman finale, which will now act as its series-ender.
