  1. [imgleft] [/imgleft] We know what you're thinking. Matt just left for Botswana and Betty is already hopping into someone else's arms? We have to admit, Betty has been known to be that girl. ABC confirms to Zap2it that 'Mad Men's' resident pushover will be appearing on "Ugly Betty" this season. In contrast to Matt, Sommer will play a working class fireman who hopes to extinguish the flame Matt left behind. The role may be recurring if the chemistry is right, since he'll be taking Betty on a disastrous first date. Before you judge Betty too harshly, it's not like she kissed Matt goodbye and then immediately hitched a ride on a fire engine. Sommer's episode is set to a…

ABC and Canada's Global Television have renewed drama Rookie Blue for a fourth season. The cop series has gained a loyal following during its summer airings since debuting in June 2010. Like last season's pickup, the news comes just a few episodes into the show's current season. Although the number of episodes is not known at this time, expect Season 4 of Rookie Blue to be its typical 13, which has been the standard for all three seasons so far. A Summer 2013 return is also expected. (Source: TV Guide) Click here to view the article

Fans of The Expanse can breathe a sigh of relief tonight, as Amazon has saved the critically-acclaimed space opera from cancellation. While rumored for a few days now, the official announcement came tonight directly from Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos at the National Space Society's International Space Development Conference in Los Angeles. The outpouring from fans was quite substantial after they got wind that Syfy was passing on a fourth season of their favorite show. A #SaveTheExpanse campaign quickly gained momentum, including an online petition with over 130,000 signatures and a GoFundMe page which paid for an airplane banner that was flown over Amazon Studios in Santa M…

After confessing that at night he only watches "Oprah," Jimmy Kimmel finds any way he can to take a jab at Jay Leno and the NBC late night mess. Regarding his Leno impression: "I hate to give away my secrets, but it's part Sylvester the Cat it's part Curly from the "Three Stooges" and part Scrappy Doo ... silly putty to make yourself a nice Dudley Do-Right chin." His ideal interview: I'd like to do 12 @ 12 with you tomorrow night because I have lots of questions. Best prank Jimmy Kimmel ever pulled: "I told a guy that five years from now I'm gon…

Lucifer fans can rejoice today, as Netflix has reportedly picked up the drama for a fourth season. The move continues the recent trend of revivals, proving that in the 2018 television landscape, the saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure" is more true than ever. Originally cancelled by Fox a month ago, just days before its Season 3 finale, Lucifer quickly became a prime contender for revival after a strong outpouring of fan support. A #SaveLucifer campaign quickly gained traction online as other popular recently-cancelled shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Expanse found homes on new networks. Lucifer's producer, Warner Bros. Television, immediately made…

Racist tweets bring an end to comedy's biggest comeback. Just two months after picking up Roseanne for an 11th season, ABC has reversed the move. The cancellation comes after show star Roseanne Barr took to Twitter with a series of racist and anti-semitic posts. The most offending being a now-deleted tweet calling adviser to former President Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, an offspring of the “Muslim Brotherhood & Planet of the Apes.” The backlash that followed was immediate and intense, with numerous celebrities and pundits speaking out against her remarks. Barr subsequently apologized, calling the tweet a joke, but it was too late. The damage had been done.…

[imgleft] [/imgleft] NBC still hasn't officially said anything about the resolution to its late-night situation, but the man who's in all likelihood headed back to "The Tonight Show" has decided to speak up. On "The Jay Leno Show" Monday night (Jan. 18), Leno went beyond cracking jokes about the network's late-night mess -- though he did some of those too -- to give his assessment of the situation. He devoted much of the show's second segment to it. Here's what he said: "Let's start in 2004 -- 2004 I'm sitting in my office, an NBC executive comes in and says to me, listen, Conan O'Brien has gotten offers from other networks. We don't want him to go, so we're going …

[imgleft] [/imgleft] The young lawyers of "The Deep End" are bright, ambitious, attractive, neurotic, scared, prone to sleeping with co-workers and in awe of/deeply afraid of their bosses. In other words, they're almost exactly like the doctors of "Grey's Anatomy" circa season one, but with suits instead of scrubs. And that's the chief issue with "The Deep End," which premieres at 8 p.m. ET Thursday (Jan. 21), just before "Grey's": Despite being populated with likable actors giving mostly solid performances, it's hard to escape the feeling that you've seen this before. I'm hopeful that will change in the future, that the show will find a more specific voice and set …

It's official: Designated Survivor will be returning for a third season. The cancelled political drama has been revived by Netflix with a 10-episode order for next year. The surprise announcement comes after a prolonged negotiation effort between the streaming service and the show's Canadian-based production company, Entertainment One. The Kiefer Sutherland-led series premiered in 2016 on ABC and was one of the network's best-performing new entries of the season, attracting a healthy audience and even picking up a Critics' Choice award. The initial interest didn't last long, though, as its numbers dipped in Season 2 after the show's main plot wrapped up. The decline …

ABC has topped up the first season of The Rookie, adding an additional seven episodes to its original order of 13. That gives the cop drama a total of 20 episodes, which is enough to be considered a full season. Just three weeks into its run, the hour-long series got a late start to the season with a mid-October premiere. Early reviews have been mostly positive, though ratings have not fared quite as well. While drawing a decent-sized audience, the show has been trailing its 10:00pm Tuesday time slot competition in both total viewers and the adults 18-49 demographic. The Rookie is led by Nathan Fillion, best known for his seven-year turn on Castle. He plays John…

  19. In August the bandwidth supplier to The Pirate Bay was ordered by a court to disconnect the world's largest BitTorrent tracker from the Internet. Within hours the site had relocated to a new host which immediately received similar entertainment industry threats. Now it seems the Bay has left Sweden, setting sail for Ukraine. Fox today topped up the sophomore season of The Resident, ordering an additional nine episodes to bring its total to 22 - a full season's worth. The good news comes three episodes into the current season, which is so far off to a solid start. The medical drama premiered early this year as a mid-season entry with a 14-episode run. After a strong showing, the network opted to move it into its regular fall lineup for the 2018-2019 season. The move appears to be paying off thus far, as the show has been garnering consistent viewership in its Monday night time slot with ratings on-par with what it brought in during Season 1. It was announced today that The Orville will be moving to Hulu for its upcoming third season. Creator Seth MacFarlane broke the news at the show's Comic-Con panel, stating that production changes for Season 3 would delay its release and that the streaming service would be a better fit for its schedule needs. The hour-long space dramedy is coming off a strong creative sophomore run which helped strengthen its already-loyal fan base. Its mix of thought-provoking sci-fi story lines and witty humour have helped it carve out an underserved niche in the television landscape. Taking inspiration from Star Trek, The Orville takes place 400 years in the future, when Earth…
