It appears as if Colony has been cancelled after three seasons. The sad news comes just days before the sci-fi drama's season finale - which will now serve as its series ender. The writing appeared to be on the wall when fans noticed a lack of representation at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, where the show has been known to have a regular presence. A tweet by Wes Tooke, who wrote numerous episodes each season, expressed sadness that they won't be able to finish their story. The series had a solid run on USA Network, at one time ranking as cable television's most-watched scripted series on Thursday nights. Viewership has tapered off, however, with Season 3 hitt…

Last week, the whole gang's Thanksgiving was interrupted by the Portland police bursting in to take Tasha (Ksenia Solo) into custody after she hit Trey, Lux's former foster father. When the state department decides to press charges against Tasha, the whole family rallies around her to support her. When Zap2it last spoke to Britt Robertson, she told us firmly that despite her recent preoccupation with Eric (Shawn Sipos), Tasha is still one of the most important people in Lux's life. "They're each other's beginning," Robertson says. "Tasha's the one person in Lux's life that I think she really, really, completely trusts. She's been Lux's family since she was seven years ol…

Revenge and Suburgatory both passed the ratings test last night with ample performances. Suburgatory drew 8.75 million viewers and a 3.0 rating in the adult demo, just a tick down from last week. Revenge did the unthinkable and grew to a 2.7 rating from last week's 2.4. I bet ABC execs couldn't wait to push the "pickup" button when they saw that number. Just a quick note about Suburgatory: It's surprisingly good. Do check it out. As for Revenge, I find it to be a riveting drama with several familiar faces and suspenseful twists at every turn. It's worth a quick view! View full article

"We're leading up to the baby being born and that's about where we finished shooting was the birth of the baby," McPartlin tells Zap2it. "I think that was originally going to be the end of the show [at the 13th episode], but thank God we just keep coming back. I think they actually timed the birth out though and they said it's close to the timing with the initial pregnancy announcement." Ten of the 13 episodes originally ordered for the season have aired so far, but NBC recently announced that it was ordering a back 11 episodes. "Fans like people naming themselves after us give us publicity," says the actor, referring to the man who legally changed his name to Captain Awe…

FX has confirmed that a tenth season has been ordered for American Horror Story. The pickup is an early one, as the anthology series - already renewed through Season 9 - has yet to return for Season 8. Co-created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the veteran series continues to captivate audiences, though some installments have been met with decidedly mixed reviews. Still, the franchise remains one of the cable network's top performers and is usually in the conversation come awards season. Production is currently underway on Season 8 of American Horror Story, which is slated to premiere on September 12. Titled Apocalypse, the upcoming season will feature a crosso…

It seems like I'm saying that just about every week, but "Chuck" is on a huge roll of late. Last week's minor letdown aside, the show has been piling excellent on top of excellent for at least a month. We have to start with the giant blonde she-male -- er, Sarah (actually, the overplaying of that joke was one of the few bum notes in this episode) and her "Kickboxer"/"Ong Bak"/"Bloodsport"/pick your favorite martial-arts movie fight in Thailand. We haven't seen this much Sarah Walker awesomeness in one episode in a long time, and watching her pretty much obliterate any and all in her path gave a huge jolt of adrenaline to the episode -- and the fight choreography in the "K…

That last bit of holiday imagery comes courtesy of "Hawaii Five-0", which on Monday (Dec. 13) will welcome back a nemesis from earlier in the season and place a member of the team in serious jeopardy. The episode is called "Hana 'a'a Makehewa" (per CBS, that's Hawaiian for "Desperate Measures"). Five-0 is called in to a hostage situation, during which Victor Hesse (returning guest James Marsters) resurfaces -- looking not even a little bit dead after getting beat up by McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and taking a tumble into the water in the series premiere. The team member in jeopardy, as you can see in the preview below, is Chin Ho (Daniel Dae Kim), who somehow winds up …

Let's give thanks this holiday season that The Walking Dead will air its penultimate episode of the season on Sunday, Nov. 28 at 10 p.m. ET. Sadly, Andrea (Laurie Holden) is not celebrating after the loss of her sister Amy (Emma Bell) in that incredibly horrific zombie attack (we're still jumping at shadows). We really can't blame her, but the sad reality is that she needs to move on and "deal with" her sister's body. We don't think that there's necessarily a risk of Amy becoming a walker -- she just died from her wounds, and didn't come down with a fever -- but we could be wrong about how the zombie mythology works in this series. But it would be difficult to see Amy ad…

At San Diego Comic-Con today, the creators and cast of Wynonna Earp announced that the supernatural western has been renewed for a fourth season. The good news, which was delivered at its convention panel for the third year in a row, comes the day following the premiere of Season 3. The Canadian-American production, which was adapted from Beau Smith's comic book series, follows the great granddaughter of Wyatt Earp fighting to bring demons and other paranormal beings to justice. The show's first two seasons have garnered high critical praise while amassing a steadily-growing loyal fan base. And judging from early feedback, Season 3 is set to deliver more of the …

AMC announced today that Fear the Walking Dead has been renewed for a fifth season. The early pickup comes in the midst of Season 4, which is due to return for the second-half of its run on August 12. The zombie drama, which began as a companion series to The Walking Dead, has continued to be a solid performer for the cable network. While its current viewership numbers aren't what they were in its earlier days, more overall viewers have been tuning into its fourth-season compared to the same point in Season 3. The series underwent some significant changes for Season 4, staring with bringing in a new showrunner duo who have changed its overall tone and storytelli…

ABC has cancelled freshman series Last Resort. The military drama will still air all 13 episodes of its original order but will not continue past that. Since debuting in late September, Last Resort was hailed by many critics as one of the strongest new dramas of the 2012-2013 season, but ratings for the show failed to match up to its critical praise. This past Thursday's episode was its lowest-rated to-date, likely sealing its fate. (Source: The Hollywood Reporter) Click here to view the article

Because it airs on Starz, a premium cable network, viewership for Boss was never going to be high. But the series managed to attract around half a million viewers (if that) throughout its first season. Compared to the 1.2 million viewers that Spartacus: Vengeance, another Starz series, averaged, Boss's viewership is paltry. Creator Farhad Safinia knows this fact, he informed reporters at the show's TCA panel on Thursday. "I am completely aware of what the numbers are and I'm heartbroken," he said. "There are so many great things about the show that I feel it deserves a larger audience." The series was renewed for a second season before the show even premiered, so fans o…

In the category of fastest rumor-squashing, Simon Cowell has knocked down speculation that George Michael will be a judge on "The X Factor" on FOX next fall. Reports of Michael's supposed involvement started making the rounds Thursday morning (Dec. 14); within a few hours, Cowell had issued a statement saying Michael won't be a judge on the show. ["Extra"] It's a bad time to be a spinoff at Syfy. The cable channel has decided not to renew "Stargate Universe" for a third season; the 10 episodes scheduled to air in the spring will be the show's last. [Deadline] A pair of "Smallville" episodes ("Shield" and "Abandoned") are among the TV nominees for the American Society of C…

[imgleft] [/imgleft]Having "30 Rock's" Kenneth the Page (Jack McBrayer) give a tour of the soon-to-be-vacated "Tonight Show" set, it's not surprising that Conan O'Brien has "jokingly" put the show itself for sale on Craigslist. But it's still funny. Posted Wednesday (Jan. 13) afternoon under the "collectibles" category, the listing begins: "4 SALE: BARELY-USED LATE NIGHT TALK SHOW - MAKE ME AN OFFER!!! (Universal Studios)." Accompanied by a couple of sad photos of the empty set, the rest of the specs are pretty straightforward: This is a chance of a lifetime to own your very own late night talk show--guaranteed to last for up to seven months!! Really must…

The AMC drama finished its six-episode freshman season Sunday night (Dec. 5), drawing more than 6 million total viewers in the 10 p.m. hour. With repeat airings at 11 p.m. and 1 a.m., the total audience number swells to 8.1 million. The real boast, however, is the 4 million viewers in the 18-49 adult demo, the largest of any drama in basic cable history. Overall, the season averaged 3.5 million in the 18-49 demo, the best average of any basic cable drama going back to 1993. In the series finale, the group of survivors discover that their sanctuary at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is not the paradise they imagined. "The Walking Dead" has been renewed for …

ABC has reportedly ordered three additional episodes for the first season of Kevin (Probably) Saves the World. The freshman drama premiered last month and is six episodes into its run. Jason Ritter stars as the titular character, Kevin Finn, who is a self-absorbed man down on his luck and on a perilous path to despair. When he heads back home to stay with his twin sister and niece, an unlikely celestial being appears to him and tasks him with a mission to save the world, giving Kevin a new purpose in life. While reviews have leaned to the positive side, the show has struggled to find an audience on Tuesday nights at 10:00pm. Episodes regularly fall behind its ti…
