[imgleft] [/imgleft] Conan O'Brien left "The Tonight Show" on a high note -- in more ways than one. Not only did Conan welcome three great guests to his show in Steve Carell, Tom Hanks and Neil Young, but he got Will Ferrellto send him off with an off-tune but very fun rendition of "Freebird." Who knew Conan could wail on the guitar like that? But in addition to all the fanfare and heartfelt speeches, the show brought in monster ratings and the monster ratings carried over into "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon." Late Night Show Ratings: NBC: "The Tonight Show" 7.0 rating/16 share NBC: "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" 3.3/10 CBS: "Late Show with David Letterman"…

[imgleft] [/imgleft]Conan O'Brien is done! (Or not.) Jay Leno's definitely going back to "The Tonight Show"! (Not yet, at least.) That's about the size of Thursday's (Jan. 14) news in the NBC late-night saga. There were reports and counter-reports and denials, and it all ended up in about the same place we were the day before. To sum up: TMZ reported Thursday afternoon -- not long after NBC released its post-Olympics, Jay Leno-free prime-time schedule -- that NBC and Leno had struck a deal with NBC to return as host of "The Tonight Show." NBC quickly denied it. Soon after that, People said that O'Brien's last day as "Tonight Show" host would be Jan. 22 (echoing …

It is being reported that USA Network has cancelled Covert Affairs after its fifth season, which concluded last month. The spy drama's falling ratings are said to be the primary reason behind the move, with Season 5 hitting series low ratings and averaging 1.5 million viewers. For comparison, Covert Affair's first season averaged 5 million viewers. Unfortunately, this means fans will never know if Annie chose Ryan's marriage proposal or Joan’s invitation to join her CIA task force. The rising cost of the show, including talent fees and more expensive locations shoots, coupled with the show's declining ratings, played a role in its demise. Season 5 averaged just 445,000 vi…
