  3. Television News · Started by Midnight,

The CW announced its winter schedule today, which includes a January 25 season finale date for Frequency. This confirms that the network has decided not to order any additional episodes for the show's first season. The freshman drama premiered in early October but failed to generate much interest in its 9:00pm time slot following Arrow on Wednesday nights, losing roughly half of its lead-in viewership. The show's soft ratings resulted in no back order, which likely means it will not be returning for Season 2. There may be a small glimmer of hope, though. As part of a new deal with Netflix, Frequency will be available on the streaming service eight days after its…

  4. Well, it looks like our friends that walk among the dead are preparing for war, but they are going up against a group that they know nothing about. They have only the word of Noah to go by and how do they know that he is telling the truth, how do they know that he is actually and that she helped him escape. It’s not like Rick to trust with so little information. Granted, the audience knows these things to be true, but Rick has never been one to trust anyone that easily, isn’t he the one that came up with the questions, the questions that they ask everyone that they meet. You know them, “How many walkers have you killed” and “How many people have you killed”? It’s his sus…

  5. It was announced today that ABC will be shifting second-year series Quantico into a new time slot when it returns from hiatus in January. The sophomore FBI drama will take over Monday nights at 10:00pm, filling the hour currently occupied by the new Hayley Atwell drama Conviction, which did not receive an order for any additional episodes past its original 13. The network is likely hoping to improve Quantico's fortunes with the move, which will see it following hit reality series The Bachelor - a reliable performer that pulls in much stronger numbers than its current Sunday night lead-in Secrets & Lies. Quantico's ratings have been tapering off after an impressiv…

  7. CBS has made a scheduling change to its Thursday night lineup, moving Training Day to Saturday nights when it returns from its current month-long break. The freshman drama has struggled to find a sizable audience since its February premiere, reaching under 5 million viewers per episode and garnering below-expected ratings in the adults 18-49 demographic. Inspired by the 2001 crime thriller of the same name, Training Day stars the late Bill Paxton as a boundary-pushing veteran detective of the LAPD who is partnered with a younger, by-the-books officer who is actually undercover as part of an operation to spy on his new partner regarding his questionable methods. …

  8. Grady Memorial hospital has Beth and Carol, and the clan wants them back. Especially Daryl, he was with Beth when she got taken by them and he was with Carol when she got taken by them and he is very unhappy about it. It’s a different world now and to put it in Daryl’s own words that he uttered while he and Carol stood by the office window when they were looking for clues as to where Beth had been taken, “F*** the way it was”. It’s a matter of survival now; sometimes you just have to fight for your freedom and/or life. Norman Reedus himself described the episode as devastating. He has said that he cried before the filming of it so that he would not break down on camera…

  9. It is being reported that Fox has made some scheduling changes to Lucifer, and will be moving the final four episodes of its current sophomore season to be part of Season 3. The result of that decision will see Season 2's tally drop from 22 episodes down to 18. It's not all bad news though, as the four episodes being shifted to next season are said to be mostly standalone in nature and will not play a big part in the ongoing storyline. The five remaining episodes in Season 2 begin airing on May 1, with the season finale scheduled for May 29. View full article

  11. Fox announced today that another limited run of The X-Files has been ordered to continue the event series revival from 2016. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will be back as agents Mulder and Scully, with creator and executive producer Chris Carter returning as well. 15. ABC announced today that five additional episodes have been ordered for the first season of The Good Doctor. The top-up brings the medical drama's episode count to 18 and makes it the first new drama of the fall to earn a full-season pickup - though it does fall short of the traditional 22 episodes that constitute a full season. The Monday night series is two episodes into its run and off to a strong start. After its premiere garnered a 2.2 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic, it impressively duplicated that number in week two - a feat not often accomplished. 19. It is being reported that Fox has ordered an additional seven episodes for Season 2 of The Mick. The good news comes as the comedy continues to be a solid performer for the network, with ratings through its first four weeks this fall staying on par with the back half of its freshman run. This is The Mick's first season on the regular fall schedule after starting out as a mid-season entry earlier this year with its premiere episode falling on New Years Day. The show jumped out of the gate, putting up strong numbers that resulted in four episodes being added to its first season - something not commonly done for mid-season shows. Today's top-up, though, gives The Mick i…

  23. NBC released its mid-season schedule today and it's not good news for The Brave. The freshman military drama is nowhere to be found in the line-up, meaning the network did not order any additional episodes for the show's first season. The hour-long series premiered in September and through eight episodes has been a decent performer in the 10:00pm time slot on Monday nights, though it regularly gets beaten by a substantial margin by The Good Doctor, which brings in roughly double the viewers, both overall and in the key adults 18-49 demographic. The Brave takes place in the world of America's elite undercover military operations. In D.C., a team of analysts utili…

So, if you haven’t seen it yet it is recommended that you wait until you have. Here goes, you have been warned. It starts out with Rick running down Bob, the second Bob to die in a very few episodes. Did you catch the line that Rick gave him just before he shot him in the head and told him to shut up? He said, “You can’t go back, Bob”, that’s the same line that Gareth said to the other Bob as he was eating his leg, which just goes to show you that Rick Grimes doesn’t mess around, he became sickened of negotiating whi…
