  4. [imgleft] [/imgleft] We've finally wrapped the guest judges on "American Idol." How'd they all do? One thing that hinders our judging of the guest judges is the fact that screentime is not always created equal. By our (extremely scientific) calculations, we've seen 2 1/4 hours of Victoria Beckham, 1.5 hours of Mary J. Blige, 45 minutes each of Shania Twain and Kristin Chenoweth, about 30 minutes of Neil Patrick Harris, 20 minutes each of Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry and about five seconds of Joe Jonas. Enough to judge how they did? It doesn't matter, we're going to judge anyway. According to our guest judge polls, as of 8 a.m. PT Wednesday, Feb. 3, on a sc…

  6. [imgleft] [/imgleft] Conan O'Brien could very well end up on FOX by the fall -- provided the network can show its corporate bosses that a late-night show would make money. So sayeth Rupert Murdoch, chairman and CEO of FOX parent News Corp. On a conference call discussing the company's financial results Wednesday (Feb. 3), Murdoch said the network is giving a late-night show "a lot of thought and examination." "Certainly if the program people can show us that we could do it, and be fairly confident of making a profit on it, we'd do it in a flash," Murdoch said. The "if" there is a pretty sizable one, though. FOX affiliates run syndicated shows after their late l…

  8. [imgleft] [/imgleft] "MacGyver" creator Lee Zlotoff wants to stop the new "Saturday Night Live" skit-turned-movie "MacGruber" from seeing theaters. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Zlotoff, who created the 1985-1992 ABC "MacGyver" series, is sending cease-and-desist letters to executives at Relativity Media, the company responsible for the "MacGruber" movie, hitting theaters in April. Apparently, Zlotoff retained the rights to the "MacGyver" franchise and a movie version of the popular Richard Dean Anderson television show is in the works (though there is no word as to whether Anderson will be involved), so Zlotoff and his lawyers feel they might have a case of cop…

Morgan ("The Middleman") will have a recurring part on the HBO hit as Debbie Pelt, the ex-girlfriend of Alcide (Joe Manganiello), according to The Hollywood Reporter. As is the case in the Sookie Stackhouse books on which the show is based, Debbie is -- to put it mildly -- not a fan of Sookie's (Anna Paquin). Morgan's other credits include a guest spot on "Cold Case" and the Toby Keith movie "Beer for My Horses." In other casting news: - Emily Rose ("Brothers & Sisters," "John From Cincinnati") will play the lead role…

  18. [imgleft] [/imgleft] Fast National ratings for Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010 "The Mentalist" scored Thursday's biggest audience on what was a somewhat soft night for network TV overall. FOX (9.85 million, 5.9/9) came in second, a little bit ahead of ABC (9 million, 6.0/10). NBC's 5.2 million viewers and 3.3/5 were good enough for fourth, while The CW (3.2 million, 2.0/3) got a solid performance from "The Vampire Diaries." ABC grabbed the top spot -- barely -- in adults 18-49 with a 3.1 rating. CBS and FOX …

  20. [imgleft] [/imgleft] This one's pretty simple: The cast and crew of "Supernatural" love their fans as much as their fans love them. Or almost as much. The depth of "Supernatural" Nation's ardor for all things Winchester-related is, as far as we know, limitless. The show celebrated the filming of its 100th episode recently, and our friends at The CW Source were on hand to chat with the likes of Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and several members of the show's production team. The theme? One of heartfelt thanks to all the people who have watched over the past five seasons. Corny? Maybe. But you get the sense that they really mean it. Judge for yoursel…

The ABC series, which premiered to big ratings but tailed off during its fall run, is in the midst of an on-air hiatus and will return March 18. Goyer will still be "involved" in the show and retain an executive producer credit, the showbiz trades report, but he won't be the person in charge of the day-to-day operations. Goyer's departure is the second showrunner change "FlashForward" has made in its short life. Mark Guggenheim joined the series after its pilot but left in October, ceding the reins to Goyer. ABC hasn't …

We're thinking, yes. She is going to be in three whole episodes. Any thoughts on the casting? Follow Korbi on Tw…
