Former Cosby Show Star, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Talks About Bill’s Rape Allegations
Cosby’s TV daughter, Keshia Knight Pulliam, has finally addressed the rape allegations against him. On Sunday's premiere of Celebrity Apprentice, Pulliam, the project manager for her team's task, was heavily criticized and ultimately fired for not calling Cosby for donations. At the time of filming nearly a year ago, and prior to the onslaught of accusations against Cosby, the actress said she hadn't spoken to him in five years and felt uncomfortable reaching out for money in a lengthy, now-awkward boardroom scene. "I really believe, if you'd called that gentleman, he would've helped you, even if you hadn't spoken to him in years. What I can say is this: I wasn't there, no one was there, except for the two people to know exactly what happened," she said. "All I can speak to is the man I know and I love the fact that he has been such an example and you can't take away from the great that he has done, the millions and millions of dollars he has given back to colleges and education, and just what he did with The Cosby Show and how groundbreaking that was." More than 20 women have come forward since November with sexual assault allegations against Cosby. When asked if she was shocked by the allegations, Pulliam added, "Ultimately it's just that: allegations. And it's been very much played out in the court of public opinion. But we're still in America where you're innocent until proven guilty and I wasn't there and that's just not the man I know, so I can't speak to it." NHL: Flyers Fined For Traveling During Holiday Break
The Flyers were fined an undisclosed amount for violating the collective bargaining agreement by traveling during a holiday break, the NHL announced Sunday. Online flight records showed the Flyers took a flight from Philadelphia to Nashville the night of Dec. 26. Players are barred from traveling or practicing from Dec. 24-26 under the latest CBA. Part of that agreement was adding the extra day off over the holidays, which meant that some teams scheduled for games on Dec. 27 would have game-day travel. Flyers general manager Ron Hextall said the team accepted the fine. "The players came to me weeks ago. They wanted to travel the day before as opposed to the day of the game. I talked to them, they said everybody was on board," he said. "Once I went through the whole thought process -- we pay guys a lot of money, we're in the hunt for a playoff spot, we want to give our team every chance to win. If we're not giving them every chance, I'm not sure how fair we're being to the players. We decided to go and accept the consequences." MLB: Phillies Sign Aaron Harang For 1 Tear At $5,000,000
The Plillies and pitcher Aaron Harang have agreed to a one-year, $5 million deal. The 36-year-old right-hander had a bounce-back year after signing with the Braves before last season, finishing 12-12 with a 3.57 ERA in 33 starts. He pitched 204 1/3 innings, the first time he surpassed 200 innings since 2007, when he was with the Reds. "Aaron brings a wealth of experience and durability to our rotation," Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said in a statement. "He had a very solid season for the Braves last year and will complement the left-handers in our rotation nicely." Harang is 122-128 with a 4.21 ERA. In 2007, he finished fourth in National League Cy Young voting after going 16-6 with a 3.73 ERA in 34 starts. He was paid $1 million in 2014. NFL: Former Redskins Player, Fred Smoot, Acquitted Of Assault
Former Redskins player, defensive back Fred Smoot has been acquitted of misdemeanor domestic assault following a bench trial in Virginia. Smoot testified in his own defense Monday in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. He denied hitting his former girlfriend, Valerie Jackson, though he admitted kicking down a bathroom door in an effort to retrieve a set of car keys from her. The judge said the evidence amounted to a case of "he said, she said" in announcing the not-guilty verdict. Smoot was suspended from local TV and radio jobs as a football analyst following his arrest in November. He said he now hopes to get his jobs back. Smoot's nine-year NFL career ended with the Redskins in 2009. He also played two seasons for the Vikings. Get Your Very Own 2014 NFL Trading Card Set: just click here

NFL: The Rams Could Be Moving Back To L.A., Soon
The Rams could be headed back to Los Angeles as early as 2016. A year after purchasing 60 acres of land in Inglewood adjacent to the Forum and Hollywood Park, Rams owner Stan Kroenke has teamed up with the owners of the Hollywood Park site to build an NFL stadium. Stockbridge Capital Group, which owns the 298-acre Hollywood Park site, already had plans for a mixed-use community on the land that formerly housed the famed thoroughbred racing track, which closed in late 2013. Signature gathering will begin soon for an initiative that would place the "City of Champions Revitalization Project" on the Inglewood municipal ballot in 2015. if it passes, construction on the project would begin by the end of the year. "This project is going forward," Inglewood mayor James T. Butts Jr. said at a news conference in front of Inglewood City Hall on Monday. "We're thrilled in the City of Inglewood. Here we are in in the position to build that field of dreams and hope that they'll come." Butts said he spoke to Kroenke about the project over the weekend but would not comment on any conversations with the NFL. As described in the ballot measure, the project will include a stadium of up to 80,000 seats and a performance venue of up to 6,000 seats while reconfiguring the previously approved Hollywood Park plan for up to 890,000 square feet of retail, 780,000 square feet of office space, 2,500 new residential units, a 300 room hotel and 25 acres of public parks, playgrounds, open space and pedestrian and bicycle access. At a separate news conference at the Hollywood Park site, Chris Meany, senior vice president of Hollywood Park Land Company, said they were committed to beginning construction on the stadium with or without a commitment from an NFL team. The declaration, not to mention the involvement of a current NFL owner, sets it apart from other "shovel-ready" stadium proposals that have always first required a team committing to playing there before construction could begin. "I've heard that there's a lot of talk about a lot of sites that have been out there for a very long time, for years and years and years," Meany said. "I don't see shovels in the ground on those projects. We're putting our shovels in the ground and going forward. This is the location in Los Angeles that for decades was the best location for sports and entertainment." The stadium authorized by the ballot measure will be designed by HKS Inc., one of the world's leading firms for the design of sports and entertainment complexes. A successful ballot measure would shorten the time frame for Inglewood's approval of a stadium and would mean that professional sports could return to Inglewood by 2018. Many proposed stadium plans have come and gone in the hopes of bringing the NFL back to Los Angeles after the city lost both the Raiders and Rams after the 1994 season, but none of those plans were ever backed by a current NFL owner capable of moving his team into the country's second-largest market. The 80,000-seat stadium would be designed to house multiple teams and would be covered but open from the sides and be able to not only hold football and soccer games but also be in the running to bid on events such as the Final Four and major prizefights. It would also conceivably be part of Los Angeles' bid to host the 2024 Olympics and possible future bids for the World Cup. "We're going to have the most important, good-looking, best, state-of-the-art sports venue in the western United States, if not the world, and we'll be ready when people want to use it," Meany said. "We hope to attract more than our fair [share] of large-scale events here. I can't speak for what the NCAA would do, but we have designed a building that would be perfect to house the Final Four. We have not had any talk with the Olympic organizing committee, but we think we'll have a venue that will enhance Los Angeles' opportunities." Meany and Butts were careful not to call the stadium an "NFL stadium" or claim that it was being built to house an NFL team, but it was clear that was the underlying expectation as a handful of Rams fans cheered from a distance during both news conferences. "When the Lakers and Kings left [inglewood], they left for what was a better offer," Butts said. "We're not trying to take anybody's team. These are businesspeople. They make business decisions. But if the best, newest stadium in the world is in Inglewood, I'd imagine that someone would be interested." The Rams are expected to convert their lease at St. Louis' Edward Jones Dome to a year-to-year agreement later this month, and if the team and the city fail to come to an agreement to build a new stadium, the Rams could move back to the area they called home from 1946 to 1994. On Monday, a representative of the two-man task force working on a St. Louis stadium proposal released a statement on behalf of former Anheuser-Busch president Dave Peacock and local attorney Bob Blitz. "The news today is another reminder of how much competition there can be for National Football League franchises and projects that include NFL stadiums, but it does not change our timeline or approach," the statement read. "It is important to remember this will be a long-term process, but one that the State of Missouri and the St. Louis region are fully pledged to seeing through. We are ready to demonstrate our commitment to keeping the NFL here, and to continue to illustrate why St. Louis has been and will always be a strong NFL market. We will present a plan to Governor Jay Nixon this Friday as scheduled, and we expect that it will meet his criteria, thereby allowing us to share our vision with the public shortly thereafter. In the meantime, we will continue to have discussions with the NFL, as well as Rams leadership." Developers of the Hollywood Park project said that no tax dollars would be used for the construction project, including the stadium and more than 4 million square feet of retail, office, hotel and residential space, which could be completed by 2018. Before construction can begin, however, the project must pass several political and environmental hurdles and the Rams must, of course, commit to moving back to Los Angeles after the 2015 season. "We are excited to unveil an expanded plan that will bring a world-class sports and entertainment district to Hollywood Park," Terry Fancher, founder of Stockbridge, said in a release. "We are committed to working with [the Kroenke Group] to build a project that will put Inglewood back on the map as home of the truly great sports and entertainment venues." Any NFL franchise interested in relocating for the next season would have to apply between Jan. 1 and Feb. 15 of that year, according to league bylaws, and prove it has exhausted all attempts to remain in its current location. The earliest a team could relocate to Los Angeles would be January 2016, and that team would likely play in either the L.A. Coliseum or the Rose Bowl until a new stadium is completed. Screech, Saved By The Bell, To Stand Trial For Stabbing
Actor Dustin Diamond, better known as the generously coiffed and endearing geek Screech in the 1990s teen high-school drama Saved By The Bell, has been ordered to stand trial for a stabbing that happened on Christmas day. Hackers To Get Their Own Show On Syfy
If your grandmother taught you anything, it's that computers are essentially open windows to your personal security that cyber-burglars will shimmy through in order to steal all your e-cash, take over your identity and go on a two-week binger in Cabo, and delete your Slow Jamz playlist on iTunes. Yes, hackers are now the scariest thing in the world, bringing Hollywood executives and bad comedy films to their knees while licking Cheetos dust off their fingers in anticipation of fondling your PayPal account. Perhaps it's no surprise, then, that Syfy is donning its Guy Fawkes mask and entering the world of computer banditos with Hackers, a new reality series in which real hackers will share the details their internet-based crimes. The show is currently in development with Relativity Media, the fine purveyors who brought you the online masquerade party known as Catfish: The TV Series. But the thing that really has me excited about Hackers is Syfy's press-release promise to use "sophisticated, never-before-seen digital graphics to create an experiential 'hacking' scene that exposes what actually happens when a computer network is broken into, including what goes on inside the mind of the hacker." 50 Pound Weight Loss For Kirstie Alley
Kirstie Alley has debuted a new body, again. The actress says she's dropped 50 pounds! Alley revealed her weight loss on Today, telling Matt Lauer that she kept her promise that she'd dropped the weight by the New Year. Back in April, Alley, who's a paid spokesperson for Jenny Craig, said she planned to drop 30 pounds. Although she said she has an easy time losing weight, she struggles with keeping it off, but "this time it's different, my goal is to keep this and maintain this throughout my life," the actress explained. "I feel like I've conquered that now. I'm sort of hardheaded. You know, when I used to do drugs, it took me a while to quit, quit, quit, and then it was done. And I feel like that's occurred for me with my weight now." Alley, who turns 64 soon, has been open about her weight struggles. Back in 2006, the Cheers alum walked on to the Oprah show in a bikini, showing off her 75-pound weight loss, but then put some of the weight back on before her first stint on Dancing with the Stars in 2011. Bill Cosby Is Being Investigated By The LAPD
The Los Angeles Police Department has opened an investigation into allegations that Bill Cosby molested a 15-year-old girl. Porsha Williams, Real Housewives of Atlanta, Arrested
With a name like Porsha, this shouldn't be a surprise. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams was pulled over for speeding and subsequently arrested for driving on a suspended license in Atlanta. The police took Williams, 33, to jail, where she posted a $1,726 bond and was released, but Williams claims she had a good excuse for zipping down the highway. "I was headed to visit my grandfather who is very ill with cancer in the hospital, and I was pulled over," she said in a statement. "I was wrong for speeding absolutely and apologize for putting anyone at risk. I tried to explain the situation to the officer and show him that all my paperwork was in order, but he refused. Handcuffs are not comfortable or a good look for anyone." This is Williams' second arrest this year. Kaley Cuoco Brags About Her Boob Job
Actresses are no strangers to plastic surgery, but some are tight-lipped about just what they've had done. Not Kaley Cuoco. "I had no boobs! And it really was the best thing ever," she says. "I always felt ill-proportioned. My implants made me feel more confident in my body. It wasn't about trying to be a porn star or wanting to look hot and sexy."Cuoco-Sweeting also opens up about her landmark contract for her hit CBS show, for which she now makes $1 million an episode. "All I think about is what it means for my family... and knowing there is security for all of us," she says. "My parents spent 16 years hauling my butt to LA for audition after audition. Every day they were helping me learn my lines, dropping me off, waiting for me, picking me up, giving me pep talks when I didn't get the jobs, taking me to tennis and horseback riding lessons. Rare Virus For Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan was hit with some unfortunate news while on her holiday vacation. The 28-year-old actress revealed recently that she has been diagnosed with Chikungunya, a rare, untreatable virus that is spread through mosquitos. The virus causes sudden onset fever, which usually lasts two to seven days, and joint pain that last weeks, months and sometimes years. Following her run in David Mamet's Speed the Plow in London, Lohan had been vacationing in French Polynesia. However, she isn't letting the diagnosis completely dampen her spirits. "In good faith with good people. I refuse to let a virus [affect] my peaceful vacation be safe and happy on the new year all," she captioned a selfie the following day. Sean Penn & Charlize Theron Get Engaged
Sean Penn & Charlize Theron got engaged this past November while visiting Paris. The couple "decided to take their relationship to the next level," a source told the magazine. Theron, 39, and Penn, 54, first stepped out together a year ago in December 2013. It's been quite easy for the couple to keep their engagement under wraps since there is reportedly no engagement ring. This would be the third marriage for Penn, who was married to Madonna for four years and to Robin Wright for 14 years. Theron has never been married before and has spoken out about her feelings against a typical marriage. "Let's put it this way: I never had the dream of the white dress. And watching other people getting married? I think it's beautiful for them, but to be quite honest, usually I'm sitting there just devastated," she told vogue in June. "It's supposed to be this night of celebrating love, and all you see is a couple separated all night making sure everybody else is okay. It just looks like a lot of work. And as you get older, you start sifting through the stuff that really matters." Get Your Very Own Guide To Charlize Theron & Sean Penn Relationship: just click here Click here to view the article

After 50 Years, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Is Still Popular
One little-noticed 50th anniversary date in 2014 was that of September 22. In 1964, that was the date of the premiere of NBC's "The Man From U.N.C.L.E," the series that brought the secret agent craze of the mid-1960's to the small screen. A half-a-century later, the super-secret spying-for-good United Network Command for Law and Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.) lives on among a new generation of fans who watched its four seasons and 105 episodes on YouTube. With eight motion pictures made of past episodes of the series, Hollywood is now in the process of casting a new film version of "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." with Tom Cruise originally cast as American agent Napoleon Solo and Armie Hammer as his Russian partner Illya Kuryakin. (Earlier this year, Cruise left the project, leaving producers of "U.N.C.L.E." in search of a new Solo). In its heyday, U.N.C.L.E. spawned board games, novels, comic books and various imitations. A sister series, "The Girl From U.N.C.L.E." came later, and the detergent Glad was pitched by (you guessed it!) "The Man From GLAD." As former George W. Bush White House speechwriter and "Investor’s Business Daily" columnist Tom McArdle recalled: "I grew up knowing who Napoleon Solo was before I knew who Napoleon Bonaparte was." Series star and active Democrat Robert Vaughn, who played agent Solo, once recalled spending a weekend at the "Hickory Hills" (Virginia) home of friend Robert Kennedy to discuss RFK's presidential campaign in 1968. The bedrooms of the Kennedy children, he noticed, were plastered with posters of Solo and Kuryakin. But U.N.C.L.E. also raised serious political questions over who was running the super-secret crime fighting organization and who had authority over agents of different nationalities. Each week, fans of all ages watched the adventures of Solo (whose name was originated by James Bond's creator Ian Fleming) and Kuryakin as they battled evil operatives of varying stripes. These ranged from a Castro-like female guerrilla leader (played by Margaret Cordova) plotting to steal a U.S. jet and nuclear warhead to help her brother seize power in a Latin American country to the sinister Madame Gervais Revel (played by Anne Francis), widow of the reputed intelligence chief of France's nationalist "Secret Army" (OAS) that had tried to assassinate Charles de Gaulle. U.N.C.L.E. agents even thwarted a deranged German scientist who had kept Adolf Hitler in suspended animation for 20 years and attempted to revive him. Most of the time, however, Solo and Kuryakin dueled with THRUSH, a mysterious international crime syndicate that seemed to be a hybrid of the Mafia and the ISIS terrorists. According to novelizations of the series, THRUSH stood for Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and for the Subjugation of Humanity. Many considered the series a parable about the Cold War. Press releases about the upcoming "U.N.C.L.E." film project bill it as a movie based on the "Cold War drama" of the '60's. But Solo and Kuryakin never took on any agents of the KGB or subversives from any Iron Curtain country. Kuryakin, some viewers assumed, was a former KGB operative who "turned." No episode verifies this or much else about the "U.N.C.L.E" agents or their British chief, Alexander Waverly (British actor Leo G. Carroll). "U.N.C.L.E. is an organization consisting of agents of all nationalities," went the opening narration, "it's involved in maintaining political and legal order anywhere in the world." Just who or what determines that "political and legal order" was never explained. "[The Man From U.N.C.L.E.] bothered conservatives and people who took seriously constitutional questions about U.S. sovereignty," M. Stanton Evans, conservative author, lecturer, and teacher, told Newsmax. "The whole idea of agents from different countries working for international law enforcement organizations raised a number of concerns, especially since they came from a such a hit series." The closest that the show's writers came to hinting who was behind U.N.C.L.E was the opening scene, which featured the New York skyline and always prominently focused on the United Nations building, although U.N.C.L.E. headquarters was actually in the East 40s, with its agents' entrance in the little-noticed Del Floria's tailor shop. "I loved the show as a kid and even own the complete series on DVD," said Hans von Spakovsky, Senior Legal Fellow at the Heritage Foundation. "But the show was completely unrealistic in having a Russian agent as a major character at a time when the Soviet Gulag was filled with political prisoners. The complete failure of the UN and its domination by undemocratic governments shows just how foolish the idea of a secret international organization fighting a secret crime organization such as THRUSH was at a time when the worst criminals in the world were the Communist leaders of Russia and China, not any private crime group or mob operation." Where THRUSH and the critics of the series failed to finish off U.N.C.L.E., the third season of the series effectively did, known to aficionados as "the silly season," Season Three brought in David Victor succeeding Rolfe as executive producer and a battery of new writers who ratcheted up the "spy spoof" and self-parody nature of the series. In one episode, Solo finds himself dancing with a gorilla. When the U.N.C.L.E. team apparently started to deal with communists, their job is not to stop them but to guard a Chairman Georgi Koz of a unnamed European state as he seeks to learn about capitalism by playing Santa Claus at Macy's. Even the rock duo Sonny and Cher got into the act during "the silly season. We had a fight scene and I forgot to pull my punches with Bob Vaughn and flattened him," Sonny Bono recalled to this reporter in 1995 when he was a Republican U.S. Representative from California. "He wasn't very happy with me." Fans were furious with "U.N.C.L.E" and its ratings plummeted. Nervous producers recanted, fired and replaced the writers, and the show reverted to its more sober approach to intrigue and espionage. But it was too late. On January 15, 1968, Solo, Kuryakin, and Mr. Waverly frustrated THRUSH for the last time and the series was over. But not quite, in 1983, the made-for-TV movie "The Fifteen Years Later Affair" brought Solo and Kuryakin out of comfortable retirement to grapple with a reconstituted THRUSH. Mr. Waverly had long since died (as did actor Carroll) and was replaced as head of U.N.C.L.E. by another British actor, Patrick Macnee of "The Avengers" fame. It is unclear when the proposed movie will be completed. One thing appears a good bet: that the next "Man From U.N.C.L.E" will be discussed, debated, and a subject of considerable political discourse, just as the first version was when it premiered 50 years ago. "I was wrong for speeding absolutely and apologize for putting anyone at risk. I tried to explain the situation to the officer and show him that all my paperwork was in order, but he refused. Handcuffs are not comfortable or a good look for anyone." This is Williams' second arrest this year. In April, she was charged with battery after fighting with Real Housewives of Atlanta costar Kenya Moore during the show's reunion episode.
