  1. ABC has ordered nine more episodes for Cristela, giving it full season status. It has done very well in its first seven episodes. It was scheduled for only thirteen, but has now been slated for twenty-two. Source: Is My Show Cancelled
  2. Xavier Henry of the Los Angeles Lakers has ruptured his left Achilles and will be out for the rest of the season. An MRI confirmed the injury that he sustained during practice and is scheduled to have sugery and he is the third player to be declared out for this season. Source: ESPN
  3. Eric Gordon is out indefinitely with an injured shoulder. He had an MRI that revealed a torn labrum that happened when he collided with a guard on the Jazz team. He has started all twelve games this season for the Pelicans, but has missed a total 115 games during his career. He averages 9.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2 assists per game. Source: ESPN
  4. Kevin Martin has had surgery on a fractured wrist; he is expected to be out six to eight weeks. He injured his wrist when he was fouled while shooting a three pointer. At the time he was the best thing that the Timberwolves had going after losing two other players earlier this season. Source: ESPN
  5. Ray Sadecki has died from complication of blood cancer, he was seventy-three. Sadecki played for eighteen seasons and helped the St. Louis Cardinals win the 1964 World Series. He started the Major League in 1960 when he was only nineteen. He was traded to the San Francisco Giants in 1966. He was a left hander and had a 135-131 career record with a 3.78 ERA. Source: ESPN
  6. The thirty-five year old player with 195 career home runs and a 253 hitting average is retiring after eleven years in the major league. He has played on the Nationals, the Athletics, the Twins and the Royals. He played his best season in 2012 with thirty-five runs 110 RBIs and won a Silver Slugger award. Source: ESPN
  7. The Dodgers have acquired Juan Nicasio from the Rockies for an undetermined amount, the Rockies could ask for cash or another player. The Dodgers seem to be continuing their trend of acquiring young pitchers that could start training this spring. Nicasio is 28 and went 6-6 with a 5.38 ERA last season and is 21-22 with a 5.03 ERA over all. He made over $2 million in the previous season and is eligible for arbitration. Source: ESPN
  8. The production on NBC’s Constantine has been stopped after only thirteen episodes, but it is possible that the show could get a second season. The show stars Matt Ryan who is a demon hunter and master of the occult that struggles with his faith, a man that is haunted by his own past. Source: TV Guide
  9. NHL coach and former defenseman, Pat Quinn, has died at 71. He played for nine seasons, coached four teams, and guided Canada to the 2002 Olympic Championship for a gold medal. He was involved in hockey for over a half a century. Source: FOX
  10. Eric Berry has been put on the non-football injury list because he may have lymphoma. The Kansas City Chiefs will have to do without him for the rest of the season. He reported feeling some chest discomfort after the game against Oakland and an MRI showed a mass in his chest. Source: FOX
  11. Houston Texans are losing their quarter back Ryan Mallett because of a torn pectoral. The injury occurred during the warm-up before the game on Sunday, Nov. 23. Source: FOX
  12. Police responded to a call at 2:36am on Saturday, Nov. 22 in downtown Cleveland. A man reported that he was assaulted by Johnny Manziel’s entourage because he seen Johnny and wanted to give him a hug. He was attacked after seeing Johnny outside an elevator and approaching him with the offer of the hug, stating that he was the biggest Brown’s fan ever. Source: FOX
  13. Jeff Taylor has apologized and pleaded guilty to domestic violence charges and has said that he will not appeal a twenty-four game suspension handed down to him by the NBA. He takes full responsibility for his actions. Source: ESPN
  14. Kyle Seager has agreed to a $100 million deal with the Seattle Mariners with an eighth year option. He has a batting average of 268, 25 home runs, and 96 RBIs last season. He won a Golden Glove award and made his first All-Star team in 2014. Source: ESPN
  15. Dominic Raiola’s cut block on New England Patriot’s Zack Moore will not give him a suspension, but he could be fined. The Lions coach spoke with his player and is not willing to make that conversation public. Source: ESPN
  16. Hanley Ramirez has agreed with Boston Red Sox to a four year deal for $88 million with a fifth year vesting of $22 million. Ramirez has played shortstop for his ten year career, but has said that he is willing to play other position.   21. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to launch on Netflix in March. This comedy series was due to air on NBC in May but Netflix has picked it for an earlier time.
